What About Now?

"Friendship must never be buried under the weight of misunderstanding" saw that quote somewhere, thought that it's especially relevant at the current moment.
After leaving Sec school for 15 years now, things have changed so much. In sec school, friends were like treasures.
We hang out together, do good and bad stuffs together, cry together, laugh together. As years pass on, things revolutionize. College life, then finding our own other halves and getting on to building our own new families.Together with all these comes the ups and downs in our own families, deaths, severe illness of family members and so on.  So much happens in the span of that 15 years, till I personally have lost touch with my closest buddies.Although we still keep in touch, but for me things are not quite the same anymore. Most of my friends have left KL and we hardly keep in touch via technology.
There were plans for our 20th anniversary celebration later this August, but things have been rough for all of us. I and Lihan had a some confrontation. Chen and Chien Hui had a major argument. Wen Sing and Pei Sun accused Lihan of some stuff. So much has been going on. I guess, it's all because we've grown and adapted to different lifestyles and cultures, and it's so so hard to come to terms with one another now.
I'm not sure when will we be ready to reconcile again. Just hope in all our misunderstandings, we can pause awhile and go back to those happy , carefree days and see how united and for each other we were. We shouldn't wait for tragedies to bring us closer. Although, I'm, very happy that the little 'tragedy' I had had brought me and Ade talking again. Probably if we all be a lil less selfish, or lil more open to accept criticism from ppl who have known us all along, then maybe we can change for the better

My wish is to have this anniversary thingy 'on'. we won't know how many more anniversaries we can celebrate ,before it's too late :)

liFe iS liKe a RolLerCoASteR...

Just as it's past the 6th month mark in my new working environment, i get some news. There'd be changes, not sure if they are small or big. It could be HUGE even. Initially I thought I could get through it, but after some time I came to realise, it's not that easy.Got the news on Saturday, and there goes my weekend. The ultimate weekend i planned to spend quality time with my mini-family, as me and hubs celebrate our 10th year together. I shadowed my worries and fears behind the excitement and fun seeing E happy  in the pool. Then Sunday, we came back home, and as I went to church alone, I had the chance to listen to the readings, gospel and sermon more attentively. It hit me right at the spot, when father said, sometimes we ask,"why me Lord?" or "why the Tsunami?" or "why the earthquake?". Then father simply stated, that the Lord's answer is simple, " So that my WORKS can be seen in you!" wow...powderful tu...
We all have a purpose and a reason, our ways will never match GOD's ways..all we need to do is surrender our lives and realised that if we trust in HIM, we can make it through.

As I was driving ,to pick hubs and E from ss5, i was listening to this ,

and i cried and sobbed and i finally poured out. I realised life is always a struggle. The more we try to be HIS disciple, the more struggles and obstacles we face.  But  i hold strong to my faith in HIM and hope that when i go back and meet my God, I can be proud that I leaned on HIM and kept the faith.

It's gonna rain ,mommy!

Lately the weather is so unpredictable.
It should be more hazy and cloudy during this time of the year.
But there's been thunderstorm and cloudy days and even floods in the East Coast.
Could the weather change be due to the recent Tsunami and earthquake in Japan?
well, i dunno. but all i know is that the world is in so much unrest these past months.
political unrest in the middle east. earthquake in Japan, China, Myanmar and Mexico.
all we as ppl who are not so affected by all of it is to pray, and prayers works wonders.
pray that God may spare us from destruction. pray that ppl may be able to pick up the pieces and get back their lives again. pray that govts and ppl in power may have more mercy and pray that we have food on our table each day.

in all our difficulties and the given circumstances , may we still  have a child like conscience and like how E tells me, just by looking in the sky, " mommy, it's gonna rain!"

ABC

Just like to rant about my experience yesterday.
Went out for some nice lunch with my colleague yesterday.Enjoyed the paprik chicken and sambal belacan and all.
Then evening went back to mom's hosue and to see E. then we went to a nearby shop to get a doorbell , then suddenly I had a blardy stomach pain, i was sweating, felt uneasy. So rushed home with mom and E in tow. Tengok tengok I wnet to toilet and made some havoc there, just because of my lunch meal. Next time got to remember not to eat so much chili and sambal...especially those Arse Burning Chilli sambals..:), hence the title of todays post, ABC!!!! ehehhehe...oh yeah when was driving or rather speeding...i was already chanting 'kepala batu , kepala batu, kepala batu' ..in hope that my stomach upset can wait till i reach home...
it's an age old remedy from my Acaca , to mom and i practise it...and someday i hope E will learn how to use it too..:)

Hectic March

So now, March is almost coming to an end.

Quite a busy month for me.We started Lent this year in March, then JY's and CH's birthday was on the same day .Had to travel to Penang for the wedding dinner, and was not in time to celebrate with my other friends for CH's birthday. My apologies for that. Weather at that time was so hot , Then E fell ill, coughing and had fever. Oh gosh, things just did not turn out too well. But we did go to Batu Feringghi to get our cheap DVD's though. Had fun meeting up with my friends, whom some i have not met for some time now.
Overly tired after the one day trip, came back and fell ill too.

Then the following weekend, had something interesting and new. Had to be assessed on skills and personality to be qualified for a new job. Well what I mean by assess is that, literally whatever we do or don't do, talk or don''t talk is assessed. Had to be without  E for that night. Had awesome roomates, i think they are coz they don't put on airs, and really down to earth ppl. Many of these ppl were just trying so damn hard to ensure they get the job, but I was there just because I waas given the opportunity. I really think that if I don't get it, it's still ok, as I can still do many other things, but to some others , it's that or nothing at all, at least that's what they seem to potray. Some of them looked like they ate sour pills or something, the whole time they were there they don't seem to able to smile or talk to anyone. During forced ranking, i did see someone put my name as their first, :) when it's all ended and it was time to go home, I was more than happy...so now it's time to wait for the results, apparenty it'll be out somewhere in early May. So we'll just wait and see. No matter the outcome, I'm happy I participated , at least I gained some new frindships and learn about other ppl's occupations there, oh yeah and also ppl's behaviours..:) kiasu = kiasi.

So, end of the month, we're having some blood test campiagn at our centre, hope it turns out well. and new rules for the coming month. We don't have to work full saturday anymore, so only half Saturdays and full weekdays. It may be a bit tiring , but heck , gotta live with it ler.

As March comes to a close, and April just around the corner, am hoping April be a more laid back month and less hectic for me. We'd be celebrating our 10 years anniversary on the 2nd, hope we can go somewhere nice with E.
